These Terms of Service govern access to Governed, including the public website, dashboard, account-based civic service previews, and any related materials we make available through governed.io.

Using Governed

You may use Governed only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the service. You may not attempt to bypass authentication, probe private systems, scrape protected data, impersonate another person, or use the service to submit false or misleading information.

Accounts and Dashboard Access

Some Governed features require an authenticated account. You are responsible for the accuracy of information submitted through your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact us promptly.

Civic Service Information

Governed is designed to help residents and public-sector teams access civic workflows more clearly. Unless a specific government partner states otherwise, information shown in Governed is for service access, navigation, demonstration, or pilot purposes and does not replace official records, legal notices, election materials, agency determinations, or direct instructions from a government office.

Availability and Changes

We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of Governed as the product, partner requirements, security needs, or operating environment changes. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Content and Intellectual Property

The Governed name, interface, software, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by Governed or its licensors unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works from those materials except as permitted by law or with written permission.

Third-Party Services

Governed may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, analytics, communication, or other infrastructure. Your use of those services may be subject to additional terms from those providers.

Privacy

Your use of Governed is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, and handled.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Governed is provided without warranties of any kind. Governed will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
